My experience with special needs children...
With a degree in education, I took multiple classes and did various levels of field work related to special education. I also partnered with children and adults with special needs in college for an event called Sports Friendship Day. There, I spent the day with a person with special needs, doing crafts, playing sports, and having meals together.
I have also substituted in various special education classrooms and worked at an afterschool program with students with special needs.
