A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Luisa Porras, and I’m a loving and experienced teacher with many years dedicated to children’s education and development.

I’m currently available for a part-time nanny position, especially during the summer months, and I’m open to opportunities that offer cash payment.

As a mother and educator, I bring patience, creativity, and deep responsibility to every child I care for. I’m bilingual (Spanish/English: improving skills), organized, and passionate about helping children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to grow.

I can assist with educational activities, meals, playtime, light household tasks, and emotional support ,always with kindness and attention to detail.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and nurturing nanny, I’d love the chance to meet your family and support you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a language teacher and educator for many years, both in the classroom and in private settings, where I consistently cared for children’s emotional and academic development. As a mother, I’ve also had daily hands-on experience supporting my daughter’s growth and well-being. These roles have allowed me to create structured routines, foster learning, and provide nurturing care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading stories, singing, dancing, doing arts and crafts, and creating learning games. I also enjoy helping with homework and organizing fun indoor and outdoor play that’s both safe and engaging. My goal is always to keep children happy, stimulated, and supported in their development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is building trust and emotional security. A nanny is not only a caregiver ,she becomes part of a child’s emotional environment. I believe in being consistent, loving, and attentive, so that every child I care for feels truly seen, heard, and safe.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not yet worked directly with children with special needs. While I deeply respect the important work involved in their care and development, I do not feel fully prepared at this time to meet their specific needs. I believe children with special needs deserve the attention of caregivers who are properly trained and confident in their support. My focus is currently on working with children in general developmental stages where I can apply my strengths with full responsibility and care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was helping a little girl who was shy and anxious about speaking in front of others. We practiced reading short stories together every afternoon, and after a few weeks, she proudly read in front of her classmates. That joy and confidence in her eyes was unforgettable and reminded me why I love working with children.
