I’ve worked with children ages 1-14. I have worked at a primary school for over a year. I was a Reading and Sport Assistant.My duties were Assisting with learners with reading,Assisting Teachers in Classrooms(giving a lesson, reading or be present when a teacher for class ). Assisting with Sick Learners(Mentoring the learners in the sickroom,Phoning parents to fetch the learner if they not well). Assisting with Netball (coaching/Teaching the netball players,Attending games,Score and time keeper. Occasionally would babysit cousins, nieces and nephews younger than me (ages 6,8,10,13) and my Neighbour’s Daughter as well as my Friend’s Daughter.

We would do activities such as play: board games, go to the park, Drawing, Painting, building blocks and puzzles, Reading playing sport( Netball), have movie nights, play hand games, Baking.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Working with children teaches you patience, and responsibility and working with children can give you a new perspective on life. Working with children also teaches you about the importance of having a routine. To me, Children are like a fountain of joy. I can never get enough of their lovely innocent personalities and truthfulness. They are so vulnerable, yet so brave. They are energetic and optimistic. Therefore, I enjoy working with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favourite moment is taking the kids to a park and rolling down the grassy hill together until I was dizzy, then watching them continue to roll for another half hour. Random snuggles from the children I’ve taken care of.
