Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love helping kids engage their imaginations. Whether it be playing with them in made up worlds outside, reading books about faraway places, coloring and drawing, listening to music, looking at the clouds, and generally just having fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Children crave nature,. Whether that be bugs, or mud, or sticks, or snow! As a nanny, I think its important to tune into kids needs, and figure out what's going on in their little brilliant minds. And use it to bring their imagination and problem-solving skills to life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nannying moments was in the afternoon, right after lunch. I had given the kids some popsicles and we were sitting on their trampoline eating them. They were a mess. Their faces were sticky, their hands even more so. But then the youngest (around three) she looked up and pointed to the sky. I asked if she saw some animal clouds up there, and she nodded with this eager smile spread across her face. We then proceeded to watch the clouds for the next fifteen minutes. :)
