Hi! I'm the second oldest of 8 siblings, so caring for children has always been part of my life. I grew up in Oklahoma with strong Southern/Midwestern family values. I started babysitting at 11 and became a nanny at 16, giving me over 20 years of childcare experience with infants through school-age children.

After working as a hairdresser for 15 years, my husband and I moved to Pennsylvania, where we're raising our sweet 4-year-old son. He would be with me while caring for your little ones. He's gentle, kind, loves babies, and enjoys outdoor adventures and imaginative play.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 7 siblings, I have babysat/nannied since I was 11 in Oklahoma. I worked at a MOPS for years. I love kiddos and I have to opportunity to be with them again! All ages, infants especially!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Puzzles, card games, water guns/balloons in the summer, baking, coloring, tea parties, pretending to be superhero's, Im down for almost anything!
We love animals! Zoos, aquariums, or even just exploring at parks or creeks for bugs or little animals!

Consistency and diligence. Trying to be as creative in everything we can!

My experience with special needs children...

I had a young boy with autism for 2 years, he was 4 years old still in diapers, loved to play outside and climb everything! By the end of the two years, he was out of diapers!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a 7 year old that was extremely competitive, whenever we played mario kart, and I would loose, it was over the top, to let me know I lost. I would always give him a high five calmly, tell him he did great, and tell him I will get better one day. Months later, because we didnt play often, I finally won the race, he CALMLY gave me a high five and told me I did so good, and he was glad that I won. Tears welled up, I had to walk out of the room, I couldn't believe it, he finally understood what it looked like to be a calm winner and loser. And this carried over to other things in every day to day life. Being consistent and diligent finally started to pay off. THAT was a huge win for me, but especially for him!
