I have always loved helping with children. When I was in middle school I helped the younger grades learn how to read, I have frequently been tasked as the babysitter for my younger cousins, and I very briefly worked in a preschool/daycare. Unfortunately I did have to leave due to health problems at the time (I got surgery to fix what was going on so its no longer a concern) but I did receive all the training while I was there and I know what to do in a lot of situations.
Even though I am two years younger than him, as a child I did always look out for my brother at school. He has Autism and in elementary and middle school especially, there were times where I did need to help him in situations.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love doing anything that will embrace a child's imagination. Whether it be through activities like drawing or playing with toys, those activities help children with their social and creative development, and it is amazing seeing what kids can come up with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Encouraging a child's growth. Whether it be physically, emotionally, or educationally, a child's support system is very important to child development. Being an aide in that process is one of the most important things a nanny can do.
My experience with special needs children...
As I have stated earlier, I grew up in a neurodivergent household. Both my mom and my brother have autism and sometimes there are situations that arose where they needed help.
I am very familiar with helping those with autism, whether it be aiding when there are sensory issues or helping with developing social skills.
I have some experience with aiding children with ADHD as well, and helping children with anxiety. Over the years I have learned a lot of grounding methods to help with panic attacks and overstimulation.

The most important part about being a nanny...
When I arrived in the morning, I was wearing a lot of pink in my outfit. The little girl I was nannying for got very excited when she saw this and ran downstairs after she finished eating breakfast. When she was done changing, she ran back over to me and sat in my lap. She had a pink headband on and a cute little pink dress, and she said it was to match me.
