More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
This year I cared for an 8 year old, 6 year old and 3 year old (while the mom tended her infant). Eventually, she gained comfort and allowed me to change diapers and care for the infant. It was a wonderful experience. I enjoy caring for babies but I also liked running after the toddler at the park and playing with the 8 year old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy taking kids to the park, playing basketball, football, soccer, frisbee; playing board games, video games, reading stories, hide and seek, kickball, Uno, Pokemon, (I can also provide NO SCREEN entertainment- reading books, playing) etc
The most important part about being a nanny...
I like watching kids have fun, but also learn to be polite young boys and girls, developing their social skills, beginning to empathize with others in the world around them. I think it's important to put their things away and establish order, and to learn to manage their emotions to the best of their abilities and understanding. I want them to be happy and comfortable, so I explain a lot to them so they feel better.
My experience with special needs children...
I helped two children (boy 8 years old) and (girl 6 years old) with muscular dystrophy. I would help lift them, when they could not get up a stair or onto a chair. I am patient and can slow down for anything they need (help eating or getting dressed); I can even modify games so they can play. -------------------------------------------- I also babysat a 5 year old with autism. He was non-verbal, but could use sign language to tell me what he wanted (to eat, or watch his ipad).
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was babysitting a 6 year old, after his swimming lessons, he showered and was drying his hair and he started singing.

Hi! I’m Rose, a creative, organized, and dependable caregiver with years of experience working with children. Growing up in a family of ten taught me patience, flexibility, and how to keep even the busiest households running smoothly. I spent my teenage years nannying for several families and later worked with children ages 5–10 as Co-Artistic Director of Summer Programs at Express Children’s Theatre. With over a decade of choir and eight years of musical theatre experience, I love incorporating creativity, music, crafts, and imaginative play into my time with kids. I’m nurturing, energetic, and organized, and I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, explore, and have fun!
