Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is coming up with fun and meaningful activities to do with the kids I care for. I love getting creative—whether we’re doing arts and crafts, putting on puppet shows, or baking muffins together (with plenty of sprinkles, of course!). I also enjoy planning educational play, like scavenger hunts, simple science experiments, or story time with silly voices and acting.

When we’re feeling active, I’m always up for dancing, building obstacle courses, or heading outside for sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and nature walks. On quieter days, I find joy in doing puzzles, listening to music or audiobooks, and winding down with yoga or breathing games.

Every child is different, and I love getting to know what excites and comforts them, then tailoring our days to help them feel safe, supported, and free to have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong foundation of trust—with both the child and the family. When a child feels safe, understood, and supported, they’re able to grow, explore, and thrive with confidence. I believe in being a steady, patient, and positive presence—someone who shows up with consistency, warmth, and respect for each child’s unique personality and needs.

I also value open communication with parents, so we can work as a team to support their child’s development and well-being. Whether I’m helping with routines, guiding play, or just being a calm and caring part of their day, I truly see nannying as more than a job—it’s a relationship built on care, trust, and heart.

I have experience working with children who have neurological special needs, and it’s something I approach with a lot of care, patience, and respect. Every child is unique, and I take the time to understand their individual needs, communication styles, and strengths so I can support them in a way that feels safe, empowering, and consistent.

Whether that means following a structured routine, using visual cues, adapting sensory activities, or simply being a calm and understanding presence, I always strive to create a nurturing environment where they can thrive. I've supported children with a variety of needs—including autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences—and I’m committed to learning and adapting to best support each child and family I work with.
