A little bit about me

I have been a certified nursing assistant for the past two years. Although I have primarily worked with adults, I currently work in a hospital where I have been floated to the pediatric and mother-baby units. I have had countless babysitting hours from previous years. The ages of the children have ranged from 2-13 years old. I have also nannied/babysat siblings, the most being 4 children at a time. I love lending a helping hand to families in need of assistance. I am a creative soul and love to teach and be taught hobbies and skills. Due to the nature of my job, I have worked with healthy and sick children varying in their need of assistance! I am an energetic person who is able to match the personalities of others. I am always excited to try new hiking spots, nature walks, and bike rides around town! I have a reliable car and can help with transportation as well. I have CPR/first aid training, and I would love to be apart of your family dynamic!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a certified nursing assistant. I currently work at a hospital where I am often floated to the pediatric and mother-baby units. I have had experience with pre and post-operative children, as well as kids with physical and/or mental disabilities. Prior to getting my CNA certification, I had worked as a nanny/babysitter for multiple families. The children I have worked with have ranged from less than one to 13 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love the outdoors, and during summer time I am especially excited to participate in activities outside. I love to hike, go to the beach/pool, go on bike rides, and observe the outdoors on nature walks. For indoors, I love watching movies, cooking, drawing/painting, and board games!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing I have learned while caring for children is that respect goes both ways! Respecting a child's needs and understanding who they are as a person is incredibly important when creating a bond. People often overlook children because they are young, but they deserve mutual respect and empathy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a variety of children with special needs due to my hospital experience. I have mostly worked with those who have mental disabilities. However, I do have some experience in caring for children that require physical assistance.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had worked with a set of 4 year old twins. It was their birthday and I was able to surprise them and throw a party at the park. I had decorated the entire place and when they showed up, their reactions were to die for!
