A little bit about me

Hello! I am Madeline Oliphant, I usually go by Mo, and I'm an undergraduate student at Baylor University.
I will be home this summer and am looking for a family I can help out with while being here! I absolutely love kids and am counting down the years until I can foster/adopt my own, so treating yours children as my own would be a blessing.

I've had a handful of babysitting jobs throughout high school while also working at Villa St. Benedict retirement home for 3+ years. This last year at college I have babysat a few different families when possible as well.

Every family is different and I'd love to be accommodating and cater to all your kids and families needs. I'm a quick learner so if any of yall's needs are new to me I'll ask questions and insure my preparedness to consistently provide adequately.

I have my license however will not have a car before 3:00 PM on weekdays. My parents will accommodate their work schedules to get me to and from your house as needed.

I love being outside and being active so it's always fun to see whether me or the kids tire first. When we do tire, I LOVE crafts: drawing, painting, making jewelry out of plants etc!

My experience with special needs children...

I have had a passion for special needs children my whole life and I hope to foster or adopt children with a variety of needs in the future, however I don't have too much first hand experience under my belt just yet. I've been learning ASL for about four years now (also know french) so non verbal communication is not foreign to me.
I have 3+ years of experience at the retirement home and I know I am gifted with patience and creativity. I can learn and adapt to whomever needs my care, help, or love and would truly love to work with you and your family to provide whatever yall need- whether that means certifications, get togethers prior to hire etc.
