Hi! My name is Madeline Yokley and I have been a professional nanny for 3+ years. I love working with children of all ages, and have experience with many parenting styles. I have an Associate of Arts degree and am currently pursuing a Bachelors degree online. I am currently learning sign language and Spanish and enjoy incorporating these languages into my childcare. I am experienced with children of all ages, and enjoy all levels of development and helping every child succeed. I have experience with different aspects of childcare, such as Montessori, baby led weaning, sleep training, & play-based learning. I have cared for children in many different settings, such as church nurseries, daycares, summer camps, and event care for multiple children. I have experience with special needs children, and experience with ages newborn through teenage years. I have multiple references from past families upon request!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a very creative and adventurous person and love going outside, hiking, kayaking, swimming (I was a lifeguard in college and held American Red Cross lifeguarding certifications), and going on walks/going to the beach. I am a calligraphy artist in my free time and love to paint and draw, and I enjoy sewing, crafting, and anything that I can make with my hands!

The most important thing about being a nanny is making sure every child succeeds. I love fostering independence with children and cultivating their curiosity. It is important to me that every child need their milestone goals and grows in their confidence every day under my care.

I have experience caring for special needs children of all abilities. I have experience administering medicine, preparing specially formulated and thickened foods, maintaining medical equipment, working with care teams, helping meet care goals, creating milestone plans, and working on communication with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love watching children say their first words! I previously was a live-in nanny in Oregon and on my last night as I was putting the child to bed, she told me “I love you” for the very first time! It is something I will remember forever.
