More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience as a lead infant and preschool teacher at a daycare! I also have extensive healthcare experience, including ER, ICU, and Ortho/neuro. I was also a volunteer EMT in my hometown. For 3+ years I volunteered in the nursery at my local church, and was a youth group leader there as well! I also ran a nonprofit martial arts school teaching classes to children ages 4 and up!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy hands on activities! Anything crafty, gross motor, and sensory are my favorites! I have experience creating lesson plans in preschool settings, so I have lots of fun ideas for your little ones!
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many important things about being in the childcare field. Although there are so many special moments, I believe the most important thing is the bond you build with the child. You go from being a stranger to them to being a safe person for them. Building a loving relationship with the child is by far the best part of the job!
My experience with special needs children...
I have little experience dealing with special needs children. The little experience I do have is from the special needs children in my preschool classroom! Although I have little experience, I am always willing to learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a caregiver happened to be after I left my job as a preschool teacher. Weeks after leaving my job, my previous employer messaged me with a picture of one of my preschoolers holding up a picture she colored. She had drawn a picture of her and I together, and requested that I come to the preschool to pick it up from her because she missed me. It was the sweetest thing, and it truly confirmed that childcare is the profession for me!
