My name's Makenna, and I'd like to offer you my childcare services! I've been in the field for 8 years, and I recently received my Bachelors degree in Social Work.

I have experience with children from ages 1 month to 12 years old (neurodivergent and neurotypical), and I received formal training from the YWCA before beginning volunteer work at a girls' afterschool program. In addition to this, I worked on campus as a peer mentor for the Center for Leadership in Disability at GSU, I received my certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina, volunteered at Kate’s Club (a program for children experiencing grief), and I apprenticed at the Boyce L Ansley school, a tuition-free private school for children who are experiencing homelessness, where I facilitated a grief support group as well as an emotional awareness and expression group.
