The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching these kids blossom into teenagers, and seeing them graduate highschool. I saw one of my kids that I baby-sat in highschool, graduate with honors from her highschool. It was such a sweet moment. These kids are awesome, and I love being a part of their growth, teaching them new things, and learning about what they like or what drives them. These kids are our future, and it starts with the adult that they are influenced by, and I promise to go above and beyond to set these kids up for success.

As well as with children who have moderate to severe behavioral issues, including but not limited to: self injurious behaviors, aggression, disrobing, transition refusal, inappropriate language used (older children, 10 and older, although I have worked with 7 year olds with learned behavior from surroundings and society). I'm familiar with eloping (leaving designated area with/without adult supervision such as: running across busy streets, not coming home from the bus stop but going to friend's house instead, etc.) I have also experience with children who live with eating disorders, such as anorexia, and bullima.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Building a cardboard 'robot' with a 6 year old, who later come to find out, wouldn't throw it away. He even slept with it, the only time his mom was able to finally throw it away (after the plastic arms broke off, and tape was falling off) was when he started kindergarten and had to leave it at home. It was definitely a bittersweet moment.
I also had a little girl, that after about 3 days of babysitting her, she was so excited to get off the bus at drop off, but when she saw it was her mom, she asked her "where's Kenzie?" Her mom actually had texted me that afternoon and thought it was adorable.
