I love to do art and crafts, I have played sports my whole life so anything they want to do outside I’d love to do with them! I will make cleaning up around the house fun (or as fun as possible!)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I personally feel like the parents need to be 100% comfortable with me and know their kids will be safe when they leave them with me. I also believe the kids need to be comfortable with me. I’d love to come meet you and the kids, and see what it is you’d expect me to do! That would be free of pay of course!
My experience with special needs children...
In elementary school my best friend had autism, I would help him (and the teachers) throughout almost all my years there. In middle school I took a class where I helped students with special needs. As a sophomore in high school I took a P.E class where I helped students with special needs. As a senior in high school (I didn’t have enough room as a junior to take any fun electives), I plan to take the same P.E class again, and be a T.A in the special needs classes my school has. The kid I usually am partnered with has down syndrome, but I have helped many other students too! A couple of my cousins have special needs too, so I have a lot of experience around, and helping people.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time I was at the public library about an hour before I was supposed to be babysitting and I heard one of the kids I was going to babysits voice downstairs so I packed up my stuff really quick and went to say hi, they were so excited to see me which was so sweet, and it was funny to see them while I was killing time before I got to go babysit them!
