A little bit about me

I have worked with children my entire life! I have been with the YMCA for 13 years. I am currently the Childcare Director at our daycare and preschool. I built the program from the ground up over the last 6 years. I have also served as the Youth Program Coordinator, organizing and running fun summer camps for several years at the same organization before we started the daycare. I am also certified to teach CPR and First aid classes, Lifeguarding classes (water safety is so important to me!!) and I have taught swim lessons since I was 15 years old. I am a mother of 5 teenagers and parenting them is the greatest joy of my life. I homeschooled them for several years when they were younger, and I enjoy coming up with fun, creative, and engaging activities to help children grow and support both their cognitive and social-emotional development. I have built strong, lifelong relationships with all the children that I have had in my care and their families.
