A little bit about me

As a retired teacher of elementary special education students, I have 25 years of experience with children from preschool to 5th grade. My class size was always small due to the nature of the students’ various disabilities, allowing for meeting the needs and individualized attention for each student. I still hold a current teaching certificate with certifications in elementary education, special education and English. After my retirement I substituted in all grade levels. My philosophy with children has always been patiently consistent, consistently patient. I am dedicated to building positive relationships with children to help them be successful socially, academically and with executive functioning skills.
My most recent position was caring for a one-year-old and seven-year-old. I am comfortable with all aspects of caring for children. Being from a large family I have been exposed to caring for infants and preschool children throughout my life and currently.
