One of my students in kindergarten had Down syndrome and he was the happiest and calm boy, I loved him and we learned a lot from each other. We used to paint together and laugh a lot.
I had a non verbal Autistic student in the prekindergarten grade and he developed a lot of skills while we played and learned at the same time! He was very adventurous and active and I used that as a tool to teach him through the kinesthesia.
