More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was raised in a stay at home daycare. I am also the oldest of 18 grandchildren. I have been taking care of children all my life. I began my career in childcare about six, going on seven years ago when I became a nanny and household manager.
[phone number hidden]) When I joined this family the children were 6 months old and two years old, they are now 5 and 7 years old. With them in school full time, they no longer need my care around the clock. I cheer them on at their events, dance recitals, and school performances. I still care for them on date nights and when their parents go out of town. During my full time care for them through - I provided overnight and travel nanny services. Taught reading, writing, swimming, potty training, etc. Pet Care. All household duties.
(2023-PRESENT) Nanny for a sweet two year old girl. Play based learning, managing routine, providing personalized attention and support.
(2023-PRESENT) Volleyball coach for 4th & 5th grade.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities with children are any outdoors. I find the fresh air makes a world of a difference in their health, energy levels, and how well they sleep at night. This includes but not limited to hikes, nature scavenger hunts, walks, bike rides, rock climbing, swimming, beach days, arts & crafts in the park, etc!
I also love a creative indoor activity as well. Arts & crafts including air dry clay, building paper airplanes, painting, drawing, scrapbooking, and more.
I think it's really important to learn what each child loves. Everyone's hobbies and interests are different. I like to learn who my nanny child is, and meet them where they are with fun activities that I know they'll love!

The most important part about being a nanny...
As a nanny, I want to be someone that ensures more than just your child's physical well being. I want to be an active person assisting in their development. I want to be a part of their first time experiencing the world. When I'm a caregiver or nanny for a child, I want them to know I view them just as I do my little siblings, nieces, and cousins.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My sweet nanny kiddo is learning how to talk. Her mom insisted she had a name for me, but I had never heard her say it before. That is until one day when we came home from the park. I was washing my hands, and told her I would grab her snack right after I finished washing my hands. She threw up her hands and essentially growled, "RIRI!", as she pointed to the pretzels. Hangry, I totally get it! So from then on, she has called me, "Ri-ri", Maria is far too hard!

I often babysit my uncles toddler and my little sister so I’m pretty used to children. I love connecting with children and teaching them new things. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can work around and am open to compromising on times :)
