Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy alternative education styles that are student led such as Reggio Emilia. I've been hired by many families in Orlando and Winter Park as a Private Teacher/Nanny.
I prefer working with Infants. Birth to 2 years old, but am open to other ages. I also prefer working in homes over classrooms.
I am a certified teacher (Florida Department of Education) and am open to being a Homeschool teacher.
Others have told me that I have an innate gift that has them calling me "Maria Poppins" as a term of endearment.
I take joy in supporting the infants gross/motor skills, aiding in teaching them to walk and talk and play. I love taking the older children to local libraries, Orlando Science Center, Museums, local story times, play groups and lessons.
Traveling with children is such a great way to teach them with first hand experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety first then fun.
Educating them in alternative ways such as Travel, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Unschooling, etc, while meeting the state standards.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite Nanny moments are rocking Infants to sleep, singing them songs, reading them books. Educating them by taking them to the Orlando Science Center, Sea World, Epcot, Libraries and Museums when they are older. I love traveling with children and introducing them to new adventures where they can learn first hand.
