More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting for almost 9 years now and worked at a summer camp through Burlington Recreation and Nutrition as a counselor all last summer. During my time babysitting I cared for children ages ranging from 9 months to 14 years old. While working at the summer camp I worked with all ages under 18.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing activities with the children that they will enjoy and that will meet their interests. Indoor activities could include arts and crafts, games, playing with toys, etc. Since we don't get too many months of summer in VT I feel it is so important to be outside as much as possible in the summer! I love going on walks, hikes, to the beach, museums, mini golfing, and tons of other outdoor activities with children. I mainly figure out each child's interests and what they enjoy doing to help me decide the best activities to do with them!

The most important part about being a nanny is tending to the children and making sure my childcare is up to the parent's expectations. I can ensure that I will meet the needs and wants of each family when it comes to caring for their children. I also feel having good communication and relationships is very important. Having good relationships and communication helps us trust one another and make sure we are on the same page with everything. When I care for children, I treat them like their my own and make sure to respect the parent's rules and expectations they have already set in place with their children.
