Hi, I am Marissa. I am 21 years old and a young mother myself to a beautiful baby boy up in heaven as well as my 10 month of son. Since I was young I always enjoyed looking after children. My mother ran an in home day care and I absolutely loved it. I am good with children of all ages and I am able to work with children with special needs. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am very young so my experience is limited I understand but I would Volunteer at the church i grew up & have worked with Children of all ages since I was only 14 years old myself.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

If the weather is appropriate, I love outdoor activities. Whether it be something as simple and fun as playing on the playground, drawing with chalk on the sidewalks, or even just taking a nice walk to get some air. I also love to go out and see the world around us. Especially with children I've cared for in the past I feel like they become more aware of everything around them and the beauty of the world when they see more of it at an early age. Such as museum's, library's, movies, and such.

I also love all kinds of puzzles and card games. Along with all the new age kid toys. I do not prefer toy guns but as long as they are being used appropriately there is no harm done.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important job for me as a nanny is to make sure that the children are safe and taken care of properly.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a couple of family members who have autistic children and I am who they come to for a baby sitter when they need a break. I am very patient and can communicate very well and understand what it is they may need when they are to upset to tell me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My mother ran an in home daycare growing up with children of all ages. I remember taking the children from ages 4-7 to the park across from the house and the smiles on their faces as they played around brought me such joy I cannot explain.
