A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Martha, I’m 18 years old, and I just graduated high school a few days ago. I was part of the Fire Academy at my school, where I learned CPR and first aid, so I’m trained to handle emergencies if they ever come up. I’ve babysat my baby nephew and really enjoyed it—it gave me experience and showed me how much I love being around kids. I love to have fun, whether it’s playing games, doing crafts, or coming up with creative ways to keep kids happy and active. I’m responsible, caring, and always bring good vibes and energy!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for my 5-month-old nephew, which has taught me a lot about taking care of infants. I’ve helped with feeding, changing diapers, tummy time, and keeping him calm and comfortable. I’ve also watched over other younger family members, keeping them entertained and safe while their parents were busy. These experiences have helped me become more patient, responsible, and confident when caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When I spend time with kids, I love doing fun and creative activities that keep them happy and entertained. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts like coloring or making simple DIY projects, playing outside at the park, reading fun storybooks, and having little dance parties. I also enjoy playing pretend games, building with blocks or Legos, and even baking simple treats together. I always try to make sure they’re having fun while feeling safe and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is keeping the child safe while providing a loving, supportive, and fun environment. That means being responsible, patient, and always paying attention to the child’s needs—whether it’s helping them with a routine, handling an emergency calmly, or just being someone they trust and enjoy being around.

I'm currently in college doing prereqs for nursing but I'm mostly doing online work so I'm flexible with time. Before I started babysitting i was a caregiver in assisted living facilities but wanted to work with kids since I would like to continue working with kids in the future. Since then I have taken care of kids from the ages of 1-13. I have my drivers license and a newer reliable car if needed to go anywhere. I’m able to help out with light housekeeping and if needed getting groceries! In case of an emergency I do have my cpr certificate and I did the EMT course but haven't taken my national exam yet. I have two pets so if needed to help out with pets I would feel comfortable!

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Los Angeles, CA: Christianna H.

Consider me the cool aunt who can make magic happen with whatever supplies we are able to scavenge; whether that’s making dresses out of Kleenex or propagating plants together! As an Experiential Activations Senior Producer in my full time job, I am professional, prepared and patient. I have also had experience with special needs children and adults and was the sole caregiver to my father who was in an unresponsive wakefulness state and completely paralyzed. I have two BA’s from Pepperdine University in Journalism and Humanities and graduated cum laude. More recently I completed 3 semesters of a Masters program in psychology. I love to clean and cook. I am a skilled seamstress and tutor. I was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor throughout college and have continued to swim my entire adult life. The demands of my full-time job are minimal, but the ideal nanny position will allow me to do both jobs without compromising quality to either duty.
