A little bit about me

Second oldest of eleven children, mother to 4 great kids aged 16-21 years old. Have worked for one family for nearly 7 years. I started with them when their daughter was 3 months old, she’s 7 now. They welcomed a baby boy in 2017, I looked after him from the time he was 4 days old.
I’ve also worked as a backup/weekend sitter for a number of other local families.

I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I have a clean driving record, no criminal background, and am a non-smoker.

I love children, am fun, fit, loving and very patient. I also like animals of all kinds.

My references are impeccable and I’m willing to submit to any drug screening required.

"Mary is an absolute gem. We are heartbroken that her time with us is ending - it is ONLY because our children are full time in school now. Mary began with us 7 years ago and is incredibly dependable and reliable. She is wonderful with children; mine adore her. She interacts with them well, she is creative, she helped them with school and helped them learn numbers, letters, and basics before starting preschool. She is firm with rules but not harsh. She teaches/reinforces manners, kindness, and being a helper. She handled additional responsibilities too: kids laundry, grocery shopping, tidying/generally straightening, starting dinner, etc. She took the children to and from lessons/practices, parks and playgrounds, the public library, and other community activities. We trust her completely. Our children are in wonderfully loving and capable hands with her. I often say we have “a real life Mary Poppins in Mary”.
