A little bit about me

Hii! My name is Mary and im a very experienced child care giver. I am currently a nanny for a girl starting when she was 10mo old. She is now 3 1/2 and will be starting preschool in Sept, so i'm looking for a new family to help in. Before that, i was a full time nanny from 5mos old until 3yrs. In those years, I gained experience with bottle feeding and transitioning to solid foods as well as 'pickier eaters' a bit older. I have also helped with potty training in a few homes. I have also helped 2 homes with multiples. I keep safety a priority while allowing the child to explore their independence. I always clean up after playtime and am happy to help around the house during downtime (napping), for ex:dishes, chil's laundry, etc. I am reliable, flexible and open to last min sched changes. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have had previous experience caring for quads and triplets as well as single child care at all different ages. I worked when I was younger as a certified lifeguard and gave beginner swim lessons to children. I was also an EMT. I do have a background that also includes being a surgical tech for infants/children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, painting, coloring and whatever toys the child has that they love or are great learning tools. Also of course outdoor playing. Games dependent on the child's age. I also try to bring my love of books to all children when possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The main priority is keeping the child safe and happy. Also important is to keep the learning happening when possible because they absorb so much in those early years. Also to maintain a balance of safety while allowing the child to feel they can explore their world securely.

Volunteered as teachers aid in high school with developmentally disabled.

The most important part about being a nanny...

With any child, they best moment is always when they achieve a new skill or reach a new developmental milestone. I enjoy feeling pride in assisting the child reach that moment and seeing the pride on their face and on their parents faces.
