Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have cared for children throughout middle school and high school. Ranging ages were 2-12 and were either family members or teacher’s children. I currently babysit 2 girls 6 and 8 and I help them with their online school as well as giving them activities that’ll stimulate them as much as possible, so that they don’t miss out on development that they’ll gain in class.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a theatrical person at times, so I like to make everything an activity. If we are eating lunch, I like to make fruit platters that look like flowers. If we are feeling a bit lazy and want to watch movies, I like to make blanket forts or a movie theater in the living room!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I am very communicative with my feelings and even as an "adult" I am still working on it. Personally, I try and bring that to any home that I am welcomed into. The girls I watched during the pandemic were frustrated, lonely, and pretty much getting tired of each other. I found that what they needed were coping mechanisms and together we meditated, created a "calm" table, and talked about how it is okay to walk away to breathe and collect yourself.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a special needs brother and I have volunteered at Special Olympics on multiple occasions. I am not too used to a full hands-on position, but I am learning.

When the 2 girls that I watch who are in first and second grade sang “let me love you” by usher word for word.
