Understanding different child’s needs AND the parents. Every family has a different parenting style and day to day life. You have to adapt and work together as a team to make sure everything flows well for each family independently.

I have babysat children with Down syndrome, both verbal and nonverbal autism, intellectual disabilities, and ODD. This is as a nanny and as a foster parent.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have been a nanny for SO long, it’s hard to choose just one moment. But, I think my favorite was when my first nanny children (triplets) all turned 18 and got scholarships at the same college for softball. Seeing the kids I watched at 3 grow into adults and have such a strong bond and success made me really proud as their nanny. Having a connection and still knowing them years later it so important to me.
