A little bit about me

I have worked with kids in an organized work environment as well as personally babysat weekly for families. I have experience with kids aged 6 weeks up to 13 years old, I do prefer kids who are 4 years and older though. I worked in a daycare where I was predominantly working with the pre-k class and in the summers I worked with the summer camp which were kids who ranged from 5 to 9 years old. I held weekly babysitting jobs for families whos kids range from the ages of 6 months to 5 years, during which I would play, prepare dinner, bathe and put to bed the kids. I am currently a live in nanny for a family of 2 kids 10 and 13 where I drop them off and pick them up from their sports 4 days a week, make sure there homework is done and assist them if needed. In the summer I took them to the pool, played games, baked with them and took them to do local activities. I have a degree in recreation and enjoy planning events and activities.

Current nanny to 2 kids, 10 and 13 where I take them to and pick up from sports. Assist with homework, doing outdoor activities, playing games and doing local activities.

Anything outside: parks, swimming, hikes, bike riding, playing sports. Inside activities: board games, arts and crafts, painting, science experiments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is making sure that you're setting a good example for the kids and treating them the way you would want someone to treat your own kids. Making sure you know where they are at all times and what they are doing.

My experience with special needs children...

I've volunteered with special olympics for over 7 years. I've also taken a few special education classes in college; I originally wanted to be a special education teacher then changed my mind and went into recreation.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love hanging out with the kids and when they run up to me and give me a hug when they see me. I love seeing the excitement of the kids when they see me.
