A little bit about me

I’m a 22 year old girl who just moved to Brooklyn from California!:) I worked at a boys and girls club back in California for about a year, where I absolutely fell in love with working with/ teaching kids! My preferred age range is 6-13, but I’m good with younger kids too! Either way I love all kids. I believe kids are not only being raised by their parents, but by everyone in their lives, from siblings to baby sitters to teachers. We all play a part in raising a child. I think it’s so important to feel confident you’re leaving your kids with someone who is loving, caring, and attentive. Working at the boys and girls club, chaperoning my little cousins field trip, and babysitting my little cousins.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to do anything the kids want to do really, I can play with dolls/ action figures, and play video games if it’s allowed. I can take the kids to the park and walk the dog if you have one. I love to have them watch me cook them food and show them how I make it so they learn a little bit. I really enjoy anything the kids want to do as long as it’s safe and parent approved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The first thing always is ensuring safety, but beyond that I think it’s important to build a trusting relationship with the kids. It’s important they feel your a safe space to come to if something’s wrong, they need something, or are even just bored and need someone to bother. They should always feel relaxed and comfortable in their own home.
