Activities I enjoy doing with children...
An indoor activity that is fun to do is an obstacle course- using chairs, cushions and other safe household items. A couple outdoor activities depending on weather when it’s nice and sunny it’s fun to play in the sprinkler, or even throw some water balloons. If it’s rainy out it’s nice to stay in watch movies or even go out and play and jump in water puddles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and happy. Safety always comes first, but beyond that, it’s about building trust—both with the kids and with the parents. I make it a priority to connect with children through patience, play, and encouragement, while also keeping open communication with parents so we’re always on the same page. To me, being a nanny means supporting the whole family and caring for the children as if they were my own.
My experience with special needs children...
A few years ago I cared for an 8 year old boy who had down syndrome. We always listened and danced to his favorite songs. He loved to eat some warm scrambled eggs and sit and watch a movie.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I lived in Florida I cared for two boys, the best moment I remember was playing in the pool and having the best time.
