More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked with kids basically my whole life.
12-18 yrs old - worked at the kids church taking care of a whole classroom of kids ranging from ages 2-10.
18 yrs old - went to a learning center where I administered music therapy to the kids with special needs.
21 yrs old - Was a nanny for a few months to a 10 month old baby
22 yrs old - Worked at a preschool as a teacher and eventually became the art teacher for pre-k-5th grade.
23 yrs old - now - Part time nanny to my niece since birth till now. She’s currently 19 months old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts. I’m big on this especially since I used to be an art teacher for a pre-k-5th grade center.
Outdoor adventures such as riding bike or even just going for a stroll down the park listening to the birds chirp.
Music time - I grew up playing instruments and loving music. I think it’s important to incorporate into the day especially with kids. They always end up dancing and having fun.
Reading - Reading is fundamental.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is such a special job. Being able to nurture a child with love and attention is the most important thing. All you ever want in this world is for your child to be loved, taken care of and happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I used to offer music therapy as part of my volunteering back in the beginning of college.
Currently getting my RBT certification.
My two cousins have autism and I’ve taken care of them multiple times as i’m one of the only ones in my family that is able to keep them calm and comfortable.
