Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Kumon tutor for six months. I worked as a live-in nanny for two months over my summer break last year for a family with one two year old daughter.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting kids involved in tactile play, whether it be blocks, finger paint, or helping me mix together ingredients.

I also think it's so important to get kids active, especially outside. Walking to the park to play on the playground, fly kites, or kick a ball around are great ways to get some of their energy out!

In quieter moments, I try to make time to read and practice memory and counting skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have a very holistic approach to nannying. I see the role not only as a caregiver or babysitter, but as a whole household helper. I find it very important to leave the house better than I found it that morning.

I work to always include the children in picking up after themselves. With older kids, I like to introduce them to some basic cooking skills to help with their independence. If your family is looking for help with meal prep, this also helps with efficiency.
