Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a summer sitter, occasional babysitter caring for children in private homes, paraprofessional in a preschool classroom, caring for a relative's twin babies when they were 6 months ago and as a volunteer in a toddler classroom at the church I attend.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts, crafts, reading books, storytelling, imaginative play, cooking, baking, outdoor activities such as scavenger hunts, obstacle course, and playing ball etc.. Additionally, age-appropriate educational stimulating and practicing numbers, letters, colors, and shapes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ensuring their safety and well-being. Children are vulnerable and rely on their caregivers to keep them protected and secure. As a childcare provider, it is my responsibility to create a safe environment, both physically and emotionally, where the children can thrive.

This includes taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries, such as childproofing the home, supervising outdoor play, and being vigilant at all times. It also involves being knowledgable about basic first aid and knowing how to respond in emergency situations.

Another important aspect is creating a nurturing and loving environment. Children thrive on love, attention, and affection. Building a strong and trusting relationship with the child is essential for their emotional well-being . This involves actively listening to their needs, providing comfort and reassurance, and being emotionally available to them. Furthermore, being patient and understanding is key when caring for children.

My experience with special needs children...

As a summer sitter for 5 years old twin girls with autism spectrum and special delays, as well as working as a paraprofessional in an inclusive preschool classroom where I supported children with autism spectrum, nonverbal, speech delays, learning difficulties, behavioral challenges and ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I took the twin girls to a local park. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the girls were filled with excitement as soon as we arrived. We spend the afternoon playing on the swings, going down slides, and running around the playground. We laughed a lot and had so much fun. At the end of the day, the girls left the park tired but happy.
