More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 30 years of childcare experience through nannying; volunteering in Sunday school classes, the nursery, and VBS; being a preschool teacher; and raising my two daughters who are now 22 and 25 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing art projects, reading, encouraging imaginative play, taking nature walks, going to the park, story time, the splash pad, the zoo, and Sea World. I also enjoy finding creative and unique teaching moments in everything we do. For example, a nature walk encourages observation skills, fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the use of the five senses while exploring. It can also become an opportunity to work on matching, counting, addition and subtraction, learning about textures, and even learning about and writing the alphabet.
The most important part about being a nanny...
As someone with a nurturing spirit, who genuinely loves the company of children and the excitement of watching them achieve milestones, I will gladly support and encourage them. I understand the importance of making a positive difference in the lives of the children in my care. I believe this is done through strong morals, compassion, understanding, and patience.
I know it’s my responsibility to provide children with developmentally appropriate experiences by uniquely encouraging creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, using their ability to overcome obstacles with confidence, and stimulating their imagination and cognitive abilities. I enjoy doing this through art projects, reading aloud, puzzles, playing outside, and imaginative play.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with high functioning autism and hypersensitive sensory difficulties.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Beginning at the age of 14 months old, I taught a little girl in my care the alphabet. By the time she was 18 months old, she could recognize at random every letter, upper and lower case.

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in San Antonio, TX: Xochilt M.
Hello! My name is Xochilt Mendoza. I am a 19 year old looking to find a Nanny position in San Antonio. I have been a live-in nanny for 7 months before for a 3 year old. There I have done light house work, administered medication, drove to and from all daily activities and to and from both parent's houses. I also have created learning schedules for the child including nap times and prepared 3 meals a day. In the past I have babysat for short periods of time for families with several children ages 10 and below. The parent I was a live in nanny unfortunately passed away last May, and I am currently looking for another full time Nanny position. I have grown up with 7 younger cousins so I am used to always having little ones around. I have a lot of patience and always take a loving approach when a child is feeling stressed, frustrated, or angry. I understand that little ones require extra attention and love considering they don't always know how to process their emotions.
