A little bit about me

Hi!! My name is Mary and I just turned 39 on the 1st of this month! I’m a wife and mommy of 4 children the ages of 18 yr old son, 13 year old daughter, 5 year old son and a busy, newly turned 3year old son! My hubby has started a plumbing and HVAC company a few years ago and we’ve been surviving. 🙏🏾 I’ve been a stay at home mom for the past 5 years after having my first son. Now that they’re both beginning preschool and Kindergarten this year, it leaves me to begin something new as well in hopes of furthering my love for teaching learning and creating by rendering my services to those that may need it in those areas. Prior to that, I was a before and after school teacher for 5years, as well as a special needs teacher and health assistant at Bancroft for 4 years! Etc. I’m making a slow but steady return to the world, but I pray that whenever I go, laughter, light and love is what I’d like to leave behind.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was also a nanny for a beautiful family in Pa for close to a year until I had to move from that area. I worked at few schools as well.

We love arts and crafts, painting, singing and dancing, running and playing some fun games!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important part about being a nanny is striving to build out relationship by allowing things to come naturally and not forced. Insuring a safe and positive atmosphere while being able to complete the tasks. Teach something new, learn something different and while love doing it!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for a number of special needs children. Children with autism, nonverbal, wheelchair bound, Down syndrome, behavioral issues, etc. One thing that never ceases to amaze me, is that they All really have something special about them that makes them beautiful other than their needs!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One random day, one of the children that would always shy away from me, he just walks over to me and climb on me to hug me and rest on me which instantly brought me to tears because it was like he felt that something was wrong not knowing that a few days before, my very first daughter had passed while giving birth. No one had no idea. He is still close in my life as he is now a big boy!! I will never forget that!!
