Going on walks, flipping over logs to look at insects, making our own science experiments, tag, playing on trampolines, hide and seek, art projects including embroidery (for older kids), finger painting, watercolor, clay, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping children to build confidence in areas they used to hold fear. A child I used to nanny was dyslexic and I would have her read to me once a day. She improved so much over time!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience helping an autistic middle schooler get ready for school in the mornings. We would make sure her lunch was ready, she took her meds, we would watch tv or make slime most days, then she would eat and I would walk her to the bus stop.
