Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started working with children from a young age. I watched my younger siblings after school while my parents were at work. I took care of my cousins when their parents were at work. I babysit my niece a lot as well. I joined the babysitting club in middle school so I gained more experience and started to babysit family friends children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do creative activities with children such as drawing, coloring, painting (I promise to clean up afterwards). Reading is also important, reading a good book can be a great way for children to think about thing differently.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing is that the child is comfortable with me. It can be strange to see someone new in the house to take care of them. I think once that is figured out everything becomes easier!
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any experience with special needs kids outside of school. In high school I did a performance with some of the special needs students.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’m a fun person to play games with, so everyone wants me on their team. I usually sit out to avoid conflicts and keep my eyes on the children, but this time I joined. I lost and they told me not to play next round because I was not good. I thought it was hilarious and just shows how funny and honest children can be. It’s never a dull moment!
