My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with Autism, ADD, ADHD, spina bifida and Downs syndrome. I am a very mild personality that understands when an individual is and is not in control of their feelings or actions, I am not easily flustered when dealing with anything considered "out of the ordinary" I do not ever expect things from a child that they are not capable of doing but I do try to help them recognize things they are capable of to give them a sense of accomplishment and pride in themselves. I'm a strong believer in adaptation and accessibility to still accomplish goals.
