More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in the childcare field for over 5 years now. I started as a childcare assistant, and worked my way up to becoming owner of the childcare business. have years of experience with all ages or needs, and an early child development education. As well first aid and cpr certified. Upon that Ive worked 2 years now as a Nanny/ house manager for multiple family’s. Providing all health and safe procedures, pristine house cleaning, organization, time management, grocery shopping, errands, managing multiple calendars, and cooking/prep. Provide care for 2 kids and 3 dogs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depending on the age range I am working with such as infants we will be doing naps, listening to music, learning basic sign language, playing with age appropriate toys, or be outside.
Toddlers I encourage brain/fine motor skills. Fun games or crafts to help teach while having fun, stories and music time, simple outside games, and playing with toys.
Lastly when I work with older children I try to give some autonomy for activities they would like to do according to the schedule that day. I try to implement things that will help them with basic skills like cooking/ baking classes, sewing, art, homework help or fun outings!

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe and nurturing environment for the child.
My experience with special needs children...
I have gotten the privilege to work alongside multiple family’s with special needs children. It helps me as a provider to know the kids specific likes, dislikes, comforts, or medical/ meds history and all allergies. Depending on child/ age I try to have lots options for them whether it’s reading a book together, art, dancing, or playing outside. I like todo sensory play activities or legos together. Making sure I know the important details about them, and what makes them happy to set us all up for success!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment of mine is taking the kids to their practices and then getting to watch their games and see how much they’ve improved through the season and seeing them succeed in school!

Hello! My name is Emily McCrary and I’m 23 years old. I just moved here to Oregon from Texas due to my partners job, and I absolutely love it here. I’ve babysat multiple kids with different families. The most kids I’ve worked with are three under three, and had the privilege working with 2 toddlers on the spectrum. I’ve grown up being around kids/teens with disabilities of many kind as the women of my family all work in special education/life skills. I’ve never had a full time role working with children, but it’s been a passion of mine ever since I was a kid. I’m also very flexible with pay since this is a very hard time for people throughout the county. Please consider me for the role to help out around the house or anything needed!
