More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a modern family play center for kids this year. At Kefi I ran playgroups and activate spaces for children in accordance with age and development. I also encouraged fun and warmth to children while teaching life skills and personal growth.

I also worked at Camp Twin Lakes. Which is a sleep away summer camp for children with disabilities, sever illness, and life challenges. Where I facilitated camp activities such as ceramics, climbing wall, archery, sports, fishing, and spa.
My job was to create safe, fun spaces for campers with disabilities, severe illnesses, and life challenges.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite activities to do with children is anything creative. Things like painting, building (dollhouses, race cars, forts). Another thing I like to do is be outside. So like going to the park, playing in water, gardening.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Realizing that it is our job to make sure the children's needs are being met. Physically, emotionally, mentally.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children comes from Camp Twin Lakes. I've worked with 12 different populations. Such as children with seizures, spina bifida, tourette's syndrome, ptsd (truama/abuse), and autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when a 2 year old I was nannying for was having a hard time because both her parents where in the house but they were working so they couldn't play with her. So I take her in another room and say "what's your favorite song" and she starts singing Dance monkey while crying. So I play it on my phone and we start dancing and her mood completely changes and we have an amazing time.
