I have been a camp councelor, nanny, babysitter, teacher's aid and substitute teacher. I have experience with children pre-k all the way through 12 grade.

I love getting the children outside to enjoy nature. I enjoy reading to them, planning arts and crafts, playing games and making meals together. With permission, I would also love to take your children to the park or library!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is seeing the child as a whole person, with his/her own personality, needs, worries, and wants. There is no "one size fits all" for children, even children in the same family. Every child deserves to be listened to and appreciated.
My experience with special needs children...
Although I have not worked one on one with a child with special needs, I have cared for them in my large group while I worked as a camp counselor for the Tri Valley YMCA and also as a substitute teacher and teacher's aid.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Although I have not been a full time nanny yet, I have many favorite moments as a babysitter, teachers aid and substitute teacher. Many of my favorite moments are when children who have been struggling with a subject finally understand it! I love seeing the joy and pride it brings them knowing that they can do difficult things.
