Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

From September 2019 to March 2020, I volunteered at my local Haitian Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. I was engaging children of groups in organized prayer, worship, and bible studies. I was watching the kids in a balanced way, paying attention to the details while keeping the children tidy and in order. I greeted visitors and showed them where to sit. I prepared healthy meals for the kids and maintained their play area sanitary. Additionally, I volunteered at the Brooklyn Public Library from October 2018 to June 2019. I helped a third grade student who struggled with stuttering by building their confidence in their writing, grammar, and communication skills. I had a friendly and considerate bond with the children. With the third grader, I had patience and was committed to finishing everything on time. I assisted students with their problem solving methods while improving my listening skills by being open minded to their ideas

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Kids can come up with the most amazing unique ideas, and I'm open to them as long as they don't cause any harm and are safe, which is why I love imaginative plays and art crafts. Personally, I enjoy watching forensic mysteries and would love to create a riddle for them to solve as kids investigators in order to engage them in problem solving and the use of common sense in a playful way. I would also encourage kids to meditate, express gratitude, and stretch their bodies to create mindfulness, and I would probably cook with them to demonstrate that taking 1234 steps are involved in everything in life including recipes for making easy meals
