I use to babysit a boy named Chase for about a year and a half. He had severe autism. I also got to help out at the KC learning center in Angola which is a center where kids/adults with autism have a safe place to learn and play!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One family I nannied for awhile back, they had a little girl. We used to go outside in the back yard and play on the playground. They had a slide. She would go up the slide and then every-time she slid down i had to say “Uh Oh” or she “yelled” at me. We did that for hours at a time. It’s the smallest and sweetest moments that are the most memorable.
