I do not have much experience with special needs children unfortunately outside of one Autistic boy I cared for temporarily. I am a quick learner & do have the patience & love they will require! That i can guarantee!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh boy! Baby ania was 1 yr old when her mother started to bring her & her 3 siblings over. Ania was an introvert, she needed to scope the place around before interacting. But once she did? She was as free as a bird. When it came time for mommy to pick her up she screamed on the top of her lungs with her arms out to me to pick her up, she laid her head on my shoulder. Everyday she did the same thing. Some times it was so bad her mother would ask me to come over just to help calm her. Knowing I made a child feel safe meant everything to me.
