More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most of my experience comes from caring for younger family members and helping out friends and neighbors. I’ve looked after children between 6 months and 8 years old feeding them, keeping them entertained, changing diapers, helping with bedtime routines, and more. These experiences have taught me how to be nurturing, flexible, and attentive to each child’s individual needs.

In addition to caring for baby cousins and neighborhood kids, I’ve also volunteered at career learning events for children ages 5–10. These events were designed for kids interested in healthcare or medicine, and I helped guide them through fun, interactive experiences like listening to their own heartbeat with a stethoscope. It was a rewarding way to support their curiosity and help them explore future possibilities in a hands-on, age-appropriate way.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy anything that sparks joy and curiosity like reading books, playing imagination games, doing crafts, and spending time outside. I like to find activities that are fun, while also helping kids learn and express themselves. Whether we’re building something with blocks or pretending to run a mini doctor’s office, I always try to tailor activities to each child’s interests and developmental stage.

The most important part of being a nanny is showing up with patience, consistency, and genuine care. Children need to feel safe, and heard and being someone they can count on makes all the difference. I believe in creating a calm, supportive space where kids can be themselves, explore, and grow, while also supporting the family’s unique needs and routines.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was with a five year old who absolutely loved story time. We’d read together often, and over time, it sparked their imagination in the most heartwarming way. One day, they surprised me with a book they had written and illustrated themselves crayon drawings, scribbled letters, the whole thing. It was adorable, and such a proud moment. Seeing how our reading sessions helped inspire their creativity reminded me just how meaningful those small, consistent moments can be.
