I have three years of experience working with children through the City of Norfolk, where I developed a genuine passion for childcare and child development. Although I decided to leave due to a change in the work environment, my interest in working with children has never changed!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going on nature walks, visiting parks, playing with sidewalk chalk, coloring, making bracelets, reading books, and building LEGO sets. I love finding fun, creative, and educational activities that encourage children to explore their interests, develop new skills, use their imagination, and grow. Most importantly, I enjoy creating a positive environment where children can learn, feel supported, express themselves, and simply be well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, in my opinion, is building a genuine bond with the entire family. I believe trust, communication, and consistency are important when caring for someone’s children. I want parents to feel comfortable and confident knowing their children are in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. I also want the children to feel comfortable with me, knowing they have someone who cares about their well-being, encourages them, and supports their growth.

I have limited experience working with children on the autism spectrum, but I am open to learning, growing, and developing the skills needed to support their individual needs. I understand that every child is different and deserves patience, understanding, attention, and individualized care.
