Hi! My name is Nicole and I have been working in childcare for over 10 years. I have spent the past few years engaging with lovable, adventurous, and creative children from as young as 3 months to as old as 12 years. I have babysat, taught in a school setting, nannied, and have been a camp counselor. I am CPR and First Aid Certified, trained as a lifeguard for 4 years, and have a driver's license and clean driving record. I love being silly and goofy while maintaining a routine that lets children explore their individuality and independence. I am not afraid to make slime or mud pies, finger paint or go roller-skating. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started my career in childcare as a camp counselor for two seasons in my hometown. I cared for at least 40 children. I moved to Boston to continue my studies at Boston University where I volunteered for a local preschool specializing in immersive ECE and the first bilingual program in Massachusetts. Since then, I have nannied for a family locally in Hoboken for a nine year old who was constantly on the move with many extracurriculars and creative ventures- I was the one woman audience to many plays and art exhibitions. My latest position was where I grew the most and had the most opportunity to impact the lives of several families was my time at Little Sprouts, a prominent chain of preschools in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I was a head teacher of a small classroom of nine children who I absolutely adored.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to swim, do activities outside like explore nature and parks. I think it is important for children to read and see art and science so a favorite of mine is a children's museum or Liberty Science Center, places that I also loved to go as a kid. I also like taking trips to Michael's for arts and crafts or a library. I think it's important to ask children what they enjoy to do and try to fit their likes into their schedule with school and their other activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being able to make a difference in the lives of others. I truly enjoy helping families with care and teaching small minds and I understand that is it no small thing to do or be responsible for. I take great care in caring for others and where I shine best

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment as an educator was creating the school calendar which let us, the teachers and the students dress up and participate. some of my favorite days were Super Hero Day, Seniors Day (the students dressed up as old people complete with hair curlers and big glasses), Favorite Book Day and more.
