A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Nicole! I am a college student majoring in a health science program. I have worked with kids since I was 14. It started when I volunteered at my elementary school during the summer and the kids and I did a lot of fun activities together such as reading stories and playing fun games. For two semesters in college, I tutored grades 1 through 5th as well. I am currently working as a behavior interventionist who works with special needs children. I have 2 years of experience in caregiving for the elderly as well. I babysat a couple of times when given the opportunity. I am pretty flexible and will do my best to learn the routine a family may have. I can do housework and meal-prep as well. I mostly available on the weekends!

For outdoor activities, I enjoy going for a walk/bike rides and going to the park. Playing parlor games I used to play in my childhood days can also be very fun. For indoor activities, I like watching movies, reading stories with kids, playing board games, listening to music, and enjoying some snacks!

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with special needs but mostly in a school setting. I loved all the kids I worked with. I think every kid has different wants and interests but what’s really important is that we learn how to communicate with each other so we can have fun!
