I was a teachers aide at Rivermont. I also worked as a Nursing Assistant at a Children’s Psychiatric Hospital in Staunton. I currently am a in-home ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) clinician. Not to mention, all the babysitting I did as the aunt to 7 nieces and nephews!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with ASD and I am trained in ABA. I have worked with students and patients with unsafe or inappropriate behaviors as well as mental disorders. This enables me to both help children with these challenges but better work with kids who do not.
