The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say is making the children feel comfortable enough to come to you with problems or questions so they know you have their back just as much as they have yours. Over time they truly do become your best friends.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger sister is on the autism spectrum so i can deal with a tantrum or two lol but her therapist also taught us breathing exercises and activities that help level special needs children & my little brother also has learning disabilities so i have a different approach with him as far as doing homework and things like that goes.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I absolutely adore when kids make me arts and crafts things i taught these two children i used to babysit how to crochet and when they found out i was moving they made me a blanket & now it never leaves my side.
